Leia loves going to the dog park. It's the best place to play fetch.
In the past, the people and the dogs at the dog park, while occasionally a bit odd, have been nice, friendly, and well behaved (owners and dogs alike).
Lately, though, each time we've gone there are some rude people and dogs. It's not that they're trying to be rude per se. The dogs are being SUPER friendly to Leia (especially the boy dogs (she is fixed)) to the point of being aggressive and snapping at her when she escapes from their herding and attempting to mount; and the owners are just watching.
Then there is this one guy that stole her ball to play with some other dog. Leia grabbed the ball after a throw, and dropped it after being approached by another dog (she's submissive) and that dog picked it up. This guy took it from the dog when the dog wouldn't drop it for me, and then wouldn't give it to me and wouldn't throw it for Leia. I was biting my tongue and not saying anything to be polite, but I was getting really annoyed. AND THEN he started throwing it for the other dog (the thief dog). I finally got the ball back when the thief dog's owner noticed he stole a ball and I took Leia over to the small dog section to get a couple fetches in before we left.
This time though, Adam and I took turns tossing for Leia and playing with the camera.

We did a little photo shoot for a combination of Gramma's visit, back to school, and Adam's upcoming birthday.
When did my babies grow up?

Carus making herself a pillowcase out of a fleece pink and black zebra print. She BEGGED for the fabric when seeing it in the store. Really, really begged. She wanted another blanket, but because she already has 5 million bazillion blankets on her bed, I suggested a simple pillowcase, which she agreed to. I think she meant for me or gramma to sew it, but we had other ideas. Gramma made her a skirt out of another fabric she BEGGED for, so she had to do this one. She did well.

Sneaking in an update on The Shed now. Progress is still being made, but it looks like less is being finished.
Robert got the window in.

And, he got the door in, and foamed the gap around the door. Next up, painting!

Gramma is here for a visit!
She was calling Poppy to let him know she got in safe and relaxing after 3 days on the road from New Mexico - and 12 hours driving today.

Sunday evening it started sprinkling. We didn't get much rain, but it was enough to bring in humidity and make it a little sticky.
And enough for us to wake Monday to fog. The rain and fog, as well as the cooler night time temperatures, are proof (if I needed it) that fall is moving in on us very fast. I love fall, but I'm not quite ready for summer to end. There was so much I wanted to do this summer that I haven't got around to yet.... darn work, getting in the way of doing fun stuff. And darn bills making the dark work necessary. I should have found a career where I could have summers off.
Anyhoo.
Foggy morning.

Early morning dew.

Dew on a green tomato.
