140/365 - All packed and ready to go, a full day early.


I bet tomorrow is going to drag on and on and on....

2 days!!!

2 days until we leave for Hawaii!!  I've had a headache most of today and slightly nauseous and now I'm feeling really crummy. I really don't want to be getting sick right before my vacation...time to load up on Emergen-C right.

138/365 - Providence Portland Medical Center, well one of the towers. I was there for a meeting for work.


139/365 - Yoda pug looks a little sleepy.

What's left of Robert's car?

Not much!

Robert was in an accident this afternoon - and before I go further, he is okay. His neck is hurting, but he's okay.

He was driving home from work and had stopped (with other traffic) to wait for a car to turn a couple cars up and was rear-ended by a pickup truck that pushed him 8-10 feet into the car that was in front of him.


137/365 - I'm using this as my 365 for today (above) even though technically I didn't take it (Robert did). I'm okay with that. I took a photo of the car when I got there up on the tow truck, but it's not as good. 



We are going with the theory that his car is now totaled. That blue truck is the truck that hit him. Robert said he saw him coming in his rear view mirror (he thinks the guy was going around 50 mph) and watched him lock up on his breaks and then he hit him, which pushed Robert's car into the other car.



The other car.  Not much damage.  Robert's front license plate was a little bent and there were shared dents and little scratches, but the lady in that car (and her 6-year-old little boy) were just a little shaken up.


And I was having a slow, boring day....

Weekend fun

134/365 - How I spent Friday evening: Editing pictures and watching Vampire Diaries.


135/365 - Carus was goalie again for the first half of the game.


After the game Saturday we went to lunch and then shopping for some last minute things for our trip to Hawaii coming up and then we stopped at our friend's house. He and his fiance were working on trying to tame the jungle of their backyard, mowing it.


Then Adam volunteered to help out (hoping for a little compensation), which worked for them.


While Carus played around with dandelions.




But their mower stopped working before Adam was able to finish the job...so he decided to relax.


And I played with my camera and the stuff laying around the backyard. Like this:

And then we stopped by Costco for some supplies and Robert said we could get the 13 piece pan set I've had my eye on for awhile.


136/365 - Today I took Carus to a friend's pool birthday party.


Now I'm off to make dinner because apparently my family is starving...

Sensing a theme?

Having my wisdom teeth pulled kicked my butt! I've been exhausted and hurting and cranky and sore and starving. It was too much work and suffering to eat and soup is not that filling anyways so I wasn't eating much... In case you're wondering, I got tired of ice cream, mac'n'cheese doesn't take much effort to eat and is a bit more filling than soup, and soup just isn't as good when it is sunny and 70 degrees outside.

Finally feeling much better now and starting to get back my energy now that I can eat.

So catching up! (again)

128/365 - Carus in her soccer game last week.  They didn't win, the team was a tough one.  I can't remember the score now.  Carus was goalie first half and blocked many shots, and she played the second half until she took a ball to her stomach that knocked the wind out of her for a bit.


129/365 - Mother's day. I put in the garden, not much now but hopefully in just a little bit I'll start pulling vegetables out of it. In the background there, Robert is working on leveling out all the dirt he dug up for the trench for the retaining wall. He almost has it leveled how he wants.


130/365 - Yoda running at soccer practice. He loves running the field.


131/365 - My lilac bush is blooming and it smells sooooo good!


132/365 - From my snowball bush. I have no idea what these flowers actually are - but beyond excited to see them blooming again this year. Soon they will all turn from this green to a white.


133/365 - I made the kids work together and make cookies. It might have been easier to just make them myself - BUT they learn how to bake cookies and get along (sort of).
